The Story Behind TOV Collective
Born from a burning question that kept Eric awake at night—in the best way, because the Lord was waking him up and stirring something in him.
The Question That Started It All
"How do we invite thousands into serving in partnership with nonprofits in the same way that a passionate few are serving today?"
Through The Grand Weaver podcast, Eric came alongside ministries to help tell their stories. What he saw repeatedly: many nonprofits simply don't have the bandwidth, resources, or expertise to develop and support the growth of their tools or their teams.
There are people doing really cool work alongside nonprofits. There are businesses partnering with nonprofits. There are other nonprofits serving nonprofits in amazing ways. The question is: how do we multiply that?
What Does TOV Mean?
The word TOV is the Hebrew word for "good."
God spoke and created, and He said it was good—it was tov. It was working as it was intended, as it was designed. It was life-giving.
We're building something that multiplies abundant life to the ends of the Earth through the global church—all of the congregations, all of the nonprofit ministries serving God's people around the world.
The Serving Engine
We've spent a lot of time developing economic engines to help communities thrive. What if we started building serving engines for the good of all the people in the communities we serve?
The Lord unfolded this picture: Equip, Connect, and Celebrate.
As we celebrate what God is doing through the equipping and connecting of nonprofits, more nonprofits come in. We tell the stories, more people become equipped, more people start serving through connection, then we celebrate more—and it just keeps growing. That's the serving engine.
Our Mission
We exist to equip, connect, and celebrate nonprofit ministries, multiplying their life-giving impact in the world.
We do this by helping them invest in their teams, their technology, and their long-term vision—no matter their size or budget.
Our Values
Everything we do is anchored and centered on prayer. We lead with prayer in all things—for discernment, for protection, for God's power, for transformation.
Authentic Relationships
We believe that genuine, lasting relationships are the foundation of kingdom impact. Technology enables connections, but it's the authentic partnerships between nonprofits, volunteers, and businesses that multiply transformation.
Biblical Stewardship
We steward resources, relationships, and opportunities with excellence—not to earn favor, but as an act of worship. Every volunteer hour, every partnership, every tool we build is offered as service to the King.
Joyful Service
We serve with joy, anchored in prayer, celebrating what God is doing through nonprofits around the world. This isn't duty—it's delight. We're honored to equip, connect, and celebrate those advancing the Kingdom.
The TOV Philosophy
Nonprofit Serving Nonprofits
TOV Collective needs to be mission-driven. We need to use the same tools. We need to fundraise, report on our impact—all the same things.
Donor Funded + Pay it Forward
All nonprofits have access regardless of their size or budget. We're not charging anything for services—this is volunteers serving and loving nonprofits really, really well, funded by generous donors. Nonprofits that see great success and have resources flowing in can pay it forward to another ministry.
Long-Term Partnerships
It's really important for volunteers and businesses to be in an ongoing, long-term, lasting relationship with the nonprofit—meeting with them monthly or weekly, all throughout the year, helping them.
Technology to Help Connect People
A lot of things around TOV Collective have underpinnings of technology, but that doesn't replace relationship. It just helps us make connections faster, identify ministries and their needs, match them with people of passion and giftings. Utilizing technology to serve nonprofits at scale, but not replacing relationship.
No Competition with other Nonprofits
Abundance mindset—we want to help, we need everyone serving. How do we come alongside other nonprofits doing cool work in the same space? How do we multiply what they're doing? How do we partner with great organizations that have built tools we could leverage together?
Excellence is Good Stewardship
Continually improving, striving for excellence in everything we do. This striving is not earning—it is simply an act of worship. We're glorifying God by striving for excellence and continually improving.
